Explore the Collections and Experiences
Located in the heart of Jerusalem, near the President’s Residence and the Jerusalem Theater, the Museum of Islamic Art invites you to discover, be inspired, and connect with a fascinating world of art and culture.
The museum’s permanent exhibitions feature two extraordinary collections that highlight the meeting of past and present and show how heritage can bridge people:
The Islamic Art Collection – one of the world’s most significant collections, featuring rare items from the 7th to the 19th century. Here you can admire illustrated manuscripts, decorated ceramics, stunning textiles, and more, each piece telling the story of a rich cultural world and its lasting influence on global art.
The Rare Clock Collection of Sir David Salomons – a breathtaking display of dozens of masterpiece clocks, each a work of art. The collection offers a journey through the history of time, including rare treasures like the legendary and most expensive clock in the world, made for Queen Marie Antoinette by Abraham-Louis Breguet, the father of modern watchmaking.
Beyond the exhibitions, the museum offers a variety of engaging activities for all ages - guided tours on diverse topics such as biblical stories through the lens of Islam, leisure and music culture; literature and music events; thought-provoking lectures; special tours following the famous “Clock Heist”; and immersive escape rooms for children and families.
Every visit brings new discoveries – a rich, surprising, and inspiring cultural experience for everyone.
